Columbus Wedding Photography: GroovyDoodle Photography

We regret to announce that we will no longer be able to meet clients at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens as it is no longer affordable for us to do so. Effective December 1, 2011 the Conservatory has instituted a new policy whereby professional photographers (or amateur photographers with what the Conservatory deems to be professional gear) must pay $200 for a 2-hour session (or $500 per photographer per year for a membership) in addition to client entry fees for any photo sessions within the Conservatory or outdoor Gardens.

We’re very saddened by this development and request your forgiveness for any future inconvenience in scheduling with us, especially during the cooler months.

Wedding season is in full swing, but here’s a sneak peek at some of the pictures from our most recent wedding. The ceremony took place at what may become our new favorite venue for the 2011 season, the beautiful Jeffrey Mansion & Park in Bexley, Ohio. Meg and Kevin were married at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Parish in Columbus, Ohio. After their ceremony we took advantage of the beautiful weather and visited Arch Park in the Arena District for some photos before heading over to the Hyatt on Capitol Square for the reception.

While Jenni and Kyle’s Gallipolis wedding won’t take place until late October, they wanted to get their engagement photo session taken care of early enough to use the photos for their save-the-dates, but the wet Spring we’ve had in Ohio this year has made scheduling nearly impossible. Today, after literally 6 weeks of rescheduling, Mother Nature finally gave us the perfect day. So we headed down to a little airfield and Lake Katherine in Jackson, Ohio where we captured some really nice pictures for the engaged couple. Kyle and I greatly appreciate all the effort you have both put forth throughout our entire engagement photo process – the rescheduling, the reassurance, the traveling, the mosquito bites, and for staying up late to work on photos so we could enjoy them right away.  We love the photos and I have been receiving lots of great comments and have been telling everyone about GroovyDoodle!  You both do fantastic work and I am so glad you will be there to capture our special day in October.  Thanks for all you do!!
