If you don’t already know us, we’re a little “different”.
At GroovyDoodle Photography, YOU control your prints. Unlike most photography studios, you are paying for a photographer to spend time taking beautiful and stunning photos, not to be the middle man at selling you prints of your own photos. At GroovyDoodle, we strongly believe YOU should be able to print YOUR photos with whomever you wish. With every GroovyDoodle session, you will be given access to full-resolution images for each final pose so you can print them however you wish, as often as you like, without a middle man.
Other studios think we’re crazy. But, we’re just that “different”…
What Is GroovyDoodle:
GroovyDoodle is the concept developed by good friends Adam Clark & Meloney Buehl that photography should be fun for both the photographer and the subject. Mel & Adam are former co-workers who discovered they had a common passion of photography several years ago through a work-facilitated photo club. At the time, Mel had great ideas but poor equipment and few skills, while Adam had skills, equipment and experience, but lacked the network of connections to get some of the subjects he wanted in front of the camera. Their first collaboration attempt was completely unplanned. They were each shooting for a work shutterbug competition with themed, brand-specific subjects. Mel worked some magic to procure several vehicles, but it was raining, and she didn’t have decent enough equipment to really shoot the images she wanted. Adam had a great camera, but nothing to shoot because all of the other participants had given up due to the poor weather. They agreed to put their resources together, each feeding off of the other’s ideas and enthusiasm, until the final results were nothing short of unique and spectacular. The harmonious blend of natural aptitudes they each bring to the table now extends into nearly every aspect of their long-time friendship – and to them is the perfect setting for running a business that is both customer-centric and fun to operate. Their passion for their mission to take ‘beautiful and stunning photos’, as well as their growth as artists shows with each new session posted on the blog.
It’s also worth noting that both Adam and Mel were consumers before they were photographers, hence their unusual business model allowing customers to manage the printing of their images. “Buying some large package being sold to me in order to get the 1 or 2 prints I really wanted wasn’t satisfying to either of us. Why would it be to you? We want to be in the business of taking pictures, not selling them.” So now you know why at GroovyDoodle, we strongly believe YOU should be able to print YOUR photos with whomever you wish.
