Luke Tuttle, Chief Information Officer at ClearSaleing, Inc., a local advertising technology company asked us to do some standard corporate head shots for him after last month’s The PEP Talks where he was a speaker. He was able to come to us at our studio, which enabled us to have him in and out the door in under 30 minutes.  Here are our favs…

We were asked to sponsor The PEP Talks again by shooting their Spring ’09 event. There was a great turn-out, and just like the January event, the speakers had inspiring messages for anyone entering the job market or considering starting a company. We delivered just under 700 final images in under a week!  Here are a few that we really loved.

The PEP Talks (PEP stands for Passion, Experience, People) are recurring speaking engagements that showcase local professionals who are passionate about what they do and are eager to share their wisdom with students.  We were asked to come photograph their first event.  The talks were inspirational, even to those of us well out of school, and we were honored to be involved and glad for the opportunity to network with other local professionals.

A local company asked us to tag along as they volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. We are passionate about being involved in our community, and so it wasn’t long before the camera was put away and we were getting our hands dirty too!

And one of our photographs from this shoot was even featured in the September 29, 2008 edition of Automotive News in the Picture This section!

We were invited to join in on the fun of a company picnic with old friends, even though neither of us work there any more.  A great time was had by all, despite the rainy weather…

The Formula BMW Americas racing team visited a local corporate office, and we were asked to come get some shots of the event. Here are the ones we liked best…

Pawan Murthy is a management member of BMW Group Financial Services as well as a serial entrepreneur. He asked us to come visit him and take some headshots. Pawan needed these photos for a variety of upcoming interviews and speeches he does throughout the year.

Here’s what Pawan had to say…

“Mel and Adam are incredibly easy to work with. I’ve been on other photo shoots where the photographer is barking orders at you while framing the picture. Adam (who took my photos) was very easy going. The best part was that Adam showed me the pictures after every shot right on his camera without me even asking! Sounds trivial, but ask that from other photographers and they’ll “No…You’ll see them when I’m done with them…” As a perfectionist, I find GroovyDoodle’s approach very refreshing. They certainly take the pressure off of something as important as your own portrait.”

We were asked to visit a local company and setup a mini-studio to take photos for their annual Halloween dress-up day. The entire company dresses up, and the various departments have competitions for bragging rights. Another competition they have is the individual “best costume” contest. We offered to have anyone come down to have their photo taken, where they would be submitted for the competition as well as get a digital copy of their image. We also offered them a black and white ringlight shot if they wanted one, which we thought would give people an additional option. As you can see, they turned out great.
