Sara & Nate’s Big Day!

Check out this teaser from our most recent wedding. We met Sara and Nate earlier this summer at Jen & Dan’s wedding, and were really excited when they started looking around for wedding photographers in Columbus, Ohio that they thought of us first. We’re so fortunate to have such consistently awesome and fun wedding photography clients!

Joo & John’s Reception Mini-Studio

Yup, we took the mini-studio gear all the way to Canada for a recent destination wedding. Not familiar with our mini-studio? It’s kind of like a photo booth, only better. We call it the GroovyBooth! Not only can we get more people in front of the camera, but the camera is being operated by a professional photographer who is printing out keepsake portraits with the couple’s names and wedding date for the wedding guests, pretty much on-the-spot. Plus, the bridal couple receive all of the images electronically to share and reprint at-will, and we post most of them on Facebook for guests to tag themselves in.

Did we mention this is all free for your guests, or that because there are two of us your standard reception dance floor photos are still being taken? Right. We’ve heard it’s pretty cool… you know… from like everyone we’ve set the GroovyBooth up for.

So here are a few fun shots from John & Joo’s reception…

All we can really say is… Can a photo booth do this?? Now you know why we call it the GroovyBooth.

Jen & Dan’s Wedding – Mini-Studio

It’ll be a few weeks before Jen & Dan’s photos from the event are ready, but the ones we took at their mini-studio and printed on-site for all their guests are just as fun to look at. Who needs a photo booth at their wedding reception when you can have a GroovyBooth, complete with professional photographers behind the camera?

Brent & Lindsay’s Wedding – Reception Studio Portraits

What can we say but that this group of wedding revelers was a blast? As usual when we set up our mini-studio, we were having such a good time that we were the last ones out of the building. And the guests were having so much fun taking both serious and funny keepsake portraits that they even invited us into a few of them! It seems the GroovyBooth was a hit…

Here’s what the best man had to say the day after the wedding:

I wanted to again thank you for your work this weekend.  I cannot imagine ever finding a photography company that is as customer-oriented as you are.  Throughout the day, I was wondering when the photographers were going to get mad or say something as people stepped in to take pictures of the poses you set up.  I was constantly wondering if the two of you were frustrated as we talked through everything you did, as we were so excited for the couple.  You never showed any hint of frustration and you allowed us to shoot some of our own memories as well.  I checked out your website, your business model is absolutely awesome.  I wish you the best and if I ever find a woman crazy enough to marry me, I’ll have you both out to the Northwest for a weekend.  Thanks again.  I’m sure Brent and Lindsay will be absolutely satisfied when they get their pics.  If you ever have a customer “Brag Page” on your website, please let me know.

KidzArtz Show

We were down at Junctionview Studios today sponsoring their annual KidzArtz show. We bought some props and set up the mini-studio where we printed pics on-site for anyone who wanted to step in front of the camera. It was a fun and colorful day, to say the least. Say “Cheeeeeese!”

I heART

We spent Valentine’s Day down at Junction View Studios working our mini onsite print studio for their themed art show I heART: Sweet. Hot. And Bitter. Aside from the standard couples shots, several of the artists brought in their objects of affection – anything from chainsaws to cookies!

We had a really great time, and are looking forward to the big Agora show in May.  In the meantime, here were some of our favorites.

Dave & Kristi’s Wedding – Reception Studio Portraits

As with the Decker wedding, we set up the GroovyBooth just outside the main reception area and took pics of guests as they were enjoying the reception – serious or funny, it was totally up to the guests.  Anything taken in the mini-studio was printed on-sight and given to the subjects at no cost as a memento of the occassion.  Here are a few of our favorites…

Ben & Shanna’s Wedding – Reception Studio Portraits

We had a great time and think we took some pretty amazing shots at the wedding. However, we did something special at their reception. Because they were having family come in from far and wide who may not ever get together again like this, we setup a mini-studio (we’re thinking of calling it the GroovyBooth) and asked any friends and family at the reception to come up for free portraits in the mini-studio space. We printed a 4×6 photo of each studio pic we took, and had them ready by the end of the night for the guests to take home. Not only did the they (and we) have a blast, but Ben and Shanna now have some really fun shots of friends and family to keep from their wedding. Here are some of our favorites…
