Woodturning Project

Our friend and long-time client Devon Palmer, a talented local wood turner invited us over to his studio to try our hands at turning a couple of pens. Check out this one that Mel made and gave her dad for Father’s Day!

Food, Food, And More Food!

We just got back from a cruise with a client, and as we all know, when you’re on a luxury liner, you eat, and eat, and eat some more! Here are just a few visual samplings of the fantastic food Carnival had to offer during our voyage.

Opera Columbus Season Guide & Playbills

We had the pleasure of pulling together a really fun shoot for Opera Columbus for use in their 2009 / 2010 Season Guides and Grand Opera Playbills (They’re doing Pagliacci, a Mario Lanza tribute concert, and Romeo & Juliet).  The theme this year is “Underneath It All Everyone’s An Opera Lover” featuring masks in each of the photos.  The Season Guides were put together by LondyLawrence, and came out fantastic.  We are so proud to have been involved in this project, and while we can’t share the entire season guide, here were some of our favorite pics from the shoot.

Agora6

We spent this past Saturday down at Junction View Studios for Agora6 showing off some of our friends’ work like Five Crowns re-purposed computer jewelry and some of Harp Art Brokerage’s current collection. We also were working our mini on-site print studio both during the day and during the dance party that night! We had the chance to try some fun light painting to make the background for every image absolutely unique and gave a little creative spin to your average “photo booth” experience.

Here were some of our favorites, as well as a link to the full gallery.

Chicks-Are-Hot Clothing – Model Shoot

We did another model shoot this weekend, this time for Chicks Are Hot Clothing’s web store. We took nearly 1,000 pics in 4 hours and are starting to sift through them for the cream of the crop. Here are some of our favorites so far…

Art / Product Shoot

Next month is the big Agora VI art show down at Junctionview Studios. We’ll be doing a huge shoot the weekend of the check-in, and wanted to do a smaller test run in advance. All in all, we shot about 20 pieces this day varying in size from 3″ glass sculptures to a 10′ wide white on white cut paper piece. There were a lot of opportunities for us to challenge ourselves with something new, and at the rate of $10 per piece (which included a free Zapp (TM) file), the trial run was definitely a win:win for both us and the artists!  We were even able to upsize the files without distortion for giclée printing of some of the larger paintings at the artist’s request.

Harp Art Brokerage

We recently did a huge shoot for the Harp Art Brokerage, who is currently featuring the work of French artist Corinne Beaussier.  Like many of our canvas art clients, we upsized her files for special giclée printing of her work later.

I heART

We spent Valentine’s Day down at Junction View Studios working our mini onsite print studio for their themed art show I heART: Sweet. Hot. And Bitter. Aside from the standard couples shots, several of the artists brought in their objects of affection – anything from chainsaws to cookies!

We had a really great time, and are looking forward to the big Agora show in May.  In the meantime, here were some of our favorites, as well as a link to the gallery.

C&T Designs – Model Shoot

We brought some of our favorite subjects back to model our friend Curt’s jewelry. There were so many great pieces to try on, everyone had a fun time. Of the handful we’ve shared with Curt so far, these were his favorites:

Here’s what Curt had to say…

I knew we would get nothing less than spectacular photo’s and you delivered. We are already picking out items for the next one.

Thanks!
