Columbus Wedding Photography: GroovyDoodle Photography

Having recently moved to Chicago, Maggie and Scott were hoping for some more urban touches in their wedding pictures. From the beautiful ceremony at St. Andrew’s in Upper Arlington to Highbanks Park, Columbus’s Short North, and Our Lady of Victory for their reception, we feel like we certainly delivered a variety of both midwestern and urban flair.

Matt and Morgan wanted an engagement session that was as unique as their personalities, so we hooked up with them at the locally-famous Starliner Diner before heading over to Arch Park and Nationwide Arena to capture their hockey-loving spirit! Want to see more? Check out their full gallery!

Wedding season is in full swing, but here’s a sneak peek at some of the pictures from our most recent wedding. The ceremony took place at what may become our new favorite venue for the 2011 season, the beautiful Jeffrey Mansion & Park in Bexley, Ohio. Meg and Kevin were married at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Parish in Columbus, Ohio. After their ceremony we took advantage of the beautiful weather and visited Arch Park in the Arena District for some photos before heading over to the Hyatt on Capitol Square for the reception.

The Andersons asked us to meet with them for a family portrait session despite the snowy weather while their son was home on leave from the US armed forces, so once again we headed to our favorite winter venue, Franklin Park Conservatory. Here are just a few of our favorites from this session…

We met these girls at the Columbus Zoo for a fun Fall engagement photo session. While the zoo is normally one of our favorite places to shoot, the fog machines in the swan habitat and spider webs everywhere presented some unique and interesting challenges to our goal of creating romantic pictures. Regardless, the girls’ personalities were so playful that it all worked out.
