Franklin Park Conservatory – New Professional Photography Policy

We regret to announce that we will no longer be able to meet clients at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens as it is no longer affordable for us to do so. Effective December 1, 2011 the Conservatory has instituted a new policy whereby professional photographers (or amateur photographers with what the Conservatory deems to be professional gear) must pay $200 for a 2-hour session (or $500 per photographer per year for a membership) in addition to client entry fees for any photo sessions within the Conservatory or outdoor Gardens.

We’re very saddened by this development and request your forgiveness for any future inconvenience in scheduling with us, especially during the cooler months.

We invite you to share your thoughts about their new policy via the link to their website at the top of this post or through Franklin Park Conservatory’s Facebook page.

Madison’s First Photo Shoot

Mom brought baby Madison out to Franklin Park Conservatory to meet us for an afternoon toddler shoot in the beautiful fall sunlight. After we captured some pretty ones, Mom let her play in the fountain a bit for us!

Joe & Natalie’s Wedding

We met this sweet and lovely bride and her groom last year at Brent & Lindsay’s wedding, and were super excited when they contacted us about doing their engagement pictures as well as the photography for their Columbus wedding this summer. After the ceremony, we stole away with them to the Franklin Park Conservatory where we were able to get a variety of both fun and poignant photos before heading back to the reception at The Conference Center at North Pointe. Here is a preview of some of our favorites…

The Deckers

The Decker family received a gift certificate for our services from one of our other clients, and we agreed to meet at the Franklin Park Conservatory when they were ready. Spring finally sprung and so off to the blooms and butterfly exhibit we went. Check out these lovely family, toddler and baby photos.

Franklin Park Conservatory

One of our favorite places to visit when we need a little rest and relaxation photography is Columbus’s Franklin Park Conservatory.  In addition to being a beautiful setting for wedding or engagement photographs, the peaceful environment is a great place to play with some macro photography techniques that we don’t get to use during normal portrait photo sessions.

Here are some of our favorites…
