From poignant moments to fooling around, these photos are all about capturing the experience of both the bride and the groom in the moments leading up to their wedding ceremony. And with two photographers, we’re able to hang out with both the bride and the groom simultaneously to get as much as possible.
This was the best dancing crowd I think we’ve ever seen at a wedding, from the couple’s first dance to the end of the night, these folks were dancin’ fools. Fun, fun, fun!
What can we say but that this group of wedding revelers was a blast? As usual when we set up our mini-studio, we were having such a good time that we were the last ones out of the building. And the guests were having so much fun taking both serious and funny keepsake portraits that they even invited us into a few of them! Want to see more? I wanted to again thank you for your work this weekend. I cannot imagine ever finding a photography company that is as customer-oriented as you are. Throughout the day, I was wondering when the photographers were going to get mad or say something as people stepped in to take pictures of the poses you set up. I was constantly wondering if the two of you were frustrated as we talked through everything you did, as we were so excited for the couple. You never showed any hint of frustration and you allowed us to shoot some of our own memories as well. I checked out your website, your business model is absolutely awesome. I wish you the best and if I ever find a woman crazy enough to marry me, I’ll have you both out to the Northwest for a weekend. Thanks again. We’ll be traveling to Houston to shoot Kat & Matt’s wedding in November 2009, so we took advantage of some holiday travel to capture their engagement pics over Thanksgiving. Let’s just say that both Kat and Matt have a great sense of humor, so the shoot was a good time. We caught some fun moments as well as some sweet and introspective ones. Here are some of our favorites…
This was our second wedding to photograph, and equally as fun and beautiful as the first. This one took place at the Delaware Golf Club just north of Columbus, so we were able to utilize the course for formal photos both before and after the ceremony. Many thanks again to Dave & Kristi who, like Ben & Shanna, agreed to allow us to shoot their wedding before we actually had a portfolio to share with them.

We are so happy and excited about the way our photos turned out. Adam and Meloney were so easy to work with and captured so many great moments at the wedding. We are still getting compliments from our guests about the portrait studio at the reception. I wish we could say that was our idea but all the credit goes to Adam and Mel. Thanks again!
We spent some time following both the bride and the groom and their attendants around before the wedding ceremony. As these photos tend to be more candid than posed, it’s easy to capture the spirit of the event.
Beautiful settings, cake cutting, first dances, garter and bouquet tossing and guests enjoying the party are what these wedding reception pictures are all about.
As with the Decker wedding, we set up a studio just outside the main reception area and took pics of guests as they were enjoying the reception – serious or funny, it was totally up to the guests. Anything taken in the mini-studio was printed on-sight and given to the subjects at no cost as a memento of the occassion. Here are a few of our favorites…

We knew we were going to be shooting a lot of low light work at an upcoming wedding, and wanted to experiment a little. Rather than work in the studio with our flashes set to low, we decided to do something fun and creative, and shoot 100% by candle light at a local Columbus-area park. We found some friends of a friend, newlyweds, who were more than happy to come out and try some romantic poses in the soft candle light. This is a great example of the type of photography we do for our other brand, Amaryllis Studios. They would also serve for beautiful and unique engagement photos.
